The Chaparral Group is proud to announce the latest addition to its
Oasis Seniors and Medical Campus, a 30 acre complex developed in the
City of Meadows Place and the City of Stafford in Houston’s southwest
quadrant, located in Ft. Bend County. The Oasis Hospital is expected to
comprise approximately 162,000 square feet. The building is initially
planned for five stories. It will include an Emergency Center and full
Acute Care Hospital facilities to service the southwest quadrant of
Houston. The targeted market area is a ten mile radius around the
hospital site. There is not an existing general hospital located within
five miles in any direction from this new campus.
The hospital cost is expected to be approximately $60 million. Financing is being arranged by the developer.
Doctor groups are working with the developer, arranging hospital
privileges and involvement in the Out-patient Surgery Center in the
MOB, under a careful program in full compliance with the federal Stark
laws and state regulations. The physicians utilizing the hospital
facilities will be those with offices in the Oasis Medical Office
Buildings. The 206,000 square foot, nine-story first class “A” building
is mostly pre-leased but good spaces are still available. Construction
is underway on this building, with occupancy planned for early 2007.
The hospital will feature an Inpatient Surgical Center as well as
general medical facilities, providing a broad spectrum of surgical
procedures for the entire family. Four operating rooms in the initial
plans are designed with the latest surgical equipment.
Morris Architects, a leading architectural firm in the healthcare field
has just completed the hospital building design (attached). The new
Assisted Living/Alzheimer's building is expected to house 180 seniors
in a state-of-the-art three story facility with full services,
including eight levels of seniors care. The present facility is
operating at capacity with a waiting list and it is expected that the
new facility will be at capacity within six months after opening. Then
nearly 500 seniors will live on the Oasis Campus, within walking
distance of the Oasis Hospital. The hospital is surrounded by an aging
population.
The hospital land has been arranged as part of the 30 acre Medical
Campus. Available for use of patients and doctors alike is the adjacent
beautifully landscaped wooded Oasis Park, complete with an elegant
Pavilion for bands and other entertainment, a covered
walkway/connecting four buildings, seating areas and four small lakes
with several water features.
Hospital construction is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of
2006 and be completed in the fourth quarter of 2007. A Specialty
Hospital ensemble is also planned on the campus, to provide a
psychiatric hospital, a long term acute care hospital and other medical
service organizations. These will be housed in a building adjacent to
the Acute Care Hospital, for convenient access between the medical
service facilities across the elegant Sky Bridges.

Best wishes,
